A lovely pair of dangling diamond and opal earrings from the Art Deco (ca1930) era! Crafted in 18k white gold, the earrings have a beautiful and feminine opal design. Each begins with a single round opal cabochon surmount in a simple bezel, which hangs from an earring wire. Beneath the opal surmounts dangle teardrop-shaped opals suspended a delicate white gold chain. The opals display a wonderful range of iridescent green, red, purple, yellow and blue colors that flash and shimmer in the light, creating a stunning appearance when worn. The ear wires of each earring are stamped "18K". A wonderful pair of Victorian earrings, they would make a special addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2" long and measures 1/4" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold setting and all opals are intact and securely set.
